Research Article Review. In comparing two articles which attempt to account for "sex discrimination" (Glick et al., 1988) and "gender recognition" (Rabow & Wolfinger, 1997), I will be focusing here on the ways psychological research has developed its own conceptual operationalization for identity categories.
